More than 5 million candidates seeking admission to universities next year can now check where they will take their exams. Testing locations for the 2026 National High School Exam (ENEM) were announced last week. The information is available on the registration confirmation card through the official participant portal.

The ENEM will take place on November 8 and 15. On the first day, candidates will answer 45 questions on Languages (Portuguese and a foreign language), 45 questions on Humanities and complete a written essay. The following Sunday, they will take the Mathematics exam, consisting of 45 questions, along with another 45 questions covering Natural Sciences.

In addition to providing access to approximately 275,000 places at public universities and higher education institutions throughout Brazil, the exam allows candidates to qualify for the University for All Program (Prouni) and the Student Financing Fund (Fies). Through these programs, eligible students can access educational loans and, depending on their income bracket, scholarships covering up to 100% of tuition at private institutions.

Overall, the ENEM will provide access to 7,300 undergraduate programs across 587 municipalities in every region of Brazil. As in 2025, exam scores may also be used to obtain high school completion certification, simplifying the process for individuals who were unable to finish their secondary education. The 2026 edition introduces a new measure: all public school students currently completing their final year of high school were automatically registered for the exam.

ENEM 2026 candidates can access their registration confirmation cards through the Participant Portal, using their gov.br login credentials.
