Also it is not good for a soul to be without knowledge, and he sins who hastens with his feet

Proverbs 19.2

The soul of man needs to obtain pure knowledge, and the only Source that will feed it without any contamination is the Word of God. That's why Christians must strive to take it to the four corners of the Earth. The task is not easy, as some countries reject the teachings of the Bible because their rulers don't want to see their people freed from their clutches. They live off the misery of people who linger in darkness.

The world, which is sinking deeper into spiritual ignorance every day, is our mission field. We don't have to get involved in the filth produced by corruption. We need to live in a clean and transparent way, according to the biblical recommendation for God's servants: No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. (2 Timothy 2.4).

It is very productive to educate the family in the fear of the Lord, so that everyone's soul does not fall into the hands of the evil one, who will take it to the cellars of the kingdom of hell. The lost need biblical knowledge, so they will never be led to do things that will give them a sad and catastrophic end: Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22.6). The guidance of the Word lasts forever!

No one in their right mind imagines seeing their child grow up outside the Lord's ways and then going to visit them in prison. But unfortunately, many who were brought up with love, but without the knowledge of the Truth, find themselves trapped in practices that make their parents ashamed. Never forget the way used at the beginning of the verse studied here: Also it is not good for a soul to be without knowledge. Think about it and decide!

Solomon was the wisest man in the world, but he left his firstborn uneducated. Rehoboam didn't have the necessary enlightenment in his soul, so he took action against the people and saw the kingdom of 12 tribes lose ten of them: And he did evil, because he did not prepare his heart to seek the Lord. (2 Chronicles 12.14). How can we believe that Solomon didn't see that his son was naïve and foolish as an adult? Teach your children to fear the Lord!

There are wonderful Christians in our midst, but they don't pray and, if they do, they don't wait for the answers to their requests and are hasty in their actions. God says that such haste is harmful. King David spoke about it: I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. (Psalm 40.1). God's delay in answering is because the person is not prepared to listen to His direction. Prepare yourself in the right way!

What will you do when you receive the Almighty's understanding about your family? He will use you to the extent that you stand before Him with your inner being free to be taught. Making hasty decisions will make you pay a high price. Get right with your heavenly Father now and live fully!

Today's Prayer

Beloved Lord! We have not recognized You as Lord over our lives and families and, as a result, we act based on emotion and not on Your advice. We need to change so as not to give the enemy any more opportunities!

Hear our prayer and our request for forgiveness! Give us what You have prepared for all our descendants. You are our Father, the backbone of our faith and of the success of the members of the Body of Christ.

We long to be instructed by You, to walk with our heads held high and thus do Your will. We accept nothing from the enemy, not even the slightest touch, because we have you as our absolute God. We thank You for protecting and loving us!
