For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him

Genesis 21.2

The Lord is God, the Being who knows, can, and does everything for those who trust in the revelation of His Word. Without Him, we wouldn't even exist. What we see or know to exist came to light because He formulated it in His thought and determined that it should be created. The Son, Jesus, fulfilled the determinations of the Father. Everything He says about all things is true, for in Him there is not even a trace of falsehood.

The more we examine the works of the Lord, the more impressed we become; after all, they bear His signature. Whoever believes in Him and obeys His guidance will be blessed forever (Psalm 1:1-3). The words we hear from the lips of God, recorded in the Scriptures, contain no error and are good for straightening our thoughts and preparing us to fulfill His will (2 Timothy 2:15-16).

No one will have excuses to give when brought before the tribunal of eternity (2 Corinthians 5:10). Even the primitive peoples of the world can discern good from evil (Romans 1:19-20). They understand that there is a Creator and, therefore, should not stray from the directions imprinted within them. Those who deny the existence of God become defendants in the Judgment. It would be better if they repented of the evils committed.

The narrative of creation is completely real, as are the statements of the Most High. The Father teaches us to love Him so that we may be loved by Him and by the Son, the Executor of His will. However, loving God is not the same as the love parents have for their children, but rather following His commandments (John 14:21). He wants our development, and we only achieve that when we follow His precepts (Proverbs 3:1-10).

Abraham heard the voice of the Lord and left the city of Ur of the Chaldeans, going to a land that would still be shown to him, without any doubt in his heart (Hebrews 11:8-12). His wife was barren, but he knew that the long-awaited son would come from her. They were tested to the limit. When Abraham reached a hundred years old, and Sarah, his wife, ninety, Isaac, the heir of the promise, was born, right on time marked by the Creator. Whoever believes receives the divine blessing!

The patriarch and his wife believed, just as their descendants should believe as well, because from them would come the Savior of the world. This wait lasted two thousand years, but for God, it was only two days. Seek to know the Word and you will understand His purpose for your life and that of your descendants. Jesus came to save us from the fall of Adam and to give us the example of how we should proceed in all things. What you understand in the Bible is yours!

The Scriptures say: To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven (Ecclesiastes 3.1). An aged man and his wife, whose child-bearing years had passed, rejoiced because, in the time determined by God, Isaac—the laughter—was born, bringing joy to them and also to us (Romans 4:19-22). You also have your right time!

In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer

God of our lives! We need to submit to You to see the time You have set for us, to know You and to enjoy Your goodness. We refuse to live far from You. Help us to be Your partners in this time!

One day, Jesus will return to put an end to the disorder started by the first inhabitants of the Earth. Everything is prepared and only waiting for the man created by Your hands to grow and multiply, being Your companion here!

Adam and Eve disobeyed Your command, and we, their descendants, were born separated from You to have an inferior life. However, Jesus came, paid the price for us and taught us to live with You again. Thus, we begin the journey of true happiness and faith.
