Then Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him
Genesis 21:4
According to the Bible, everything has its time (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). Even if man, in his unbelief, tries to deny God the right to transform his family into a blessing for humanity, the Lord remains faithful and uses His Word to meet their needs. We are blessed to hear the voice of the Lord, and when we obey, we become more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). No force of Hell can prevent the Almighty from fulfilling His promises; therefore, never listen to the lies of the enemy.
Circumcision began even before the Law of Moses, when God commanded Abraham, as stated in the verse that opens this message, to circumcise his son Isaac, born of Sarah about 500 years before the promulgation of the Law. The orders of the Most High must be carried out carefully. Believe and pray!
At that time, only boys were circumcised, in a procedure similar to what doctors perform today in cases of phimosis – a small surgery on the skin that covers the glans. However, among Christians, circumcision is spiritual and occurs through baptism in water, for both men and women. It is the mark that God makes on the person's spirit and is fundamental for the battles of faith (Romans 2:29; Colossians 2:11-12).
When the angel of God sees a circumcised person, he recognizes that the devil cannot touch them. The enemy himself also looks for this sign and, upon finding it, knows that he cannot act against that person without suffering the consequences, for they belong to the Lord. Many, however, do not understand the importance of water baptism after converting to Jesus, and this thought is one of the temptations of the kingdom of darkness. Obeying God is the best path (Mark 16:16).
In baptism, there are still five great blessings reserved for those who believe in Christ and wish to live free from darkness. Therefore, it is essential to be willing to fulfill the will of the Lord and obey His commands. Those who avoid baptism demonstrate that they have not yet experienced salvation. In the same way, those who are not in communion with God often make excuses to avoid following His holy commandments.
Abraham did not delay Isaac's circumcision because he did not want to neglect the determination of the Most High nor risk losing his son. The devil wants you to postpone the initiation of your children in faith in Jesus, because if they learn early to submit to God, they will never bow to the king of lies. Moreover, those who trust in the Lord will be successful. In light of this truth, do what He said when He revealed Himself to you. Be careful: being disobedient is opening you up to Satan and falling into his hands.
The Bible speaks a lot about the righteous, those whose pleasure is to practice the Word of the Lord. When we act justly, we are identified before the Father. He says: The righteous will never be removed, but the wicked will not inhabit the earth. (Proverbs 10:30). A good question for everyone to answer based on this statement from the Scriptures. Do you want to be just or wicked?
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
Lord, our Righteousness! Why shouldn't we circumcise our hearts and free ourselves from the attacks of the evil one, so we can live in peace, certain that we will not be shaken? Father, we decide to fulfill Your ordinances, so that the devil may never touch us.
Living as You desire now and being obedient to Your commandments, we will be well heard whenever we pray. The important thing is to do Your will, walk by Your side, and live in Your powerful presence!
We want to reaffirm that we belong to Jesus, for we have received Him as Savior and Lord. There is no place in us for the enemy, and forever we will have the sign of Christ's circumcision engraved on us. We will serve You as You desire!
