The psalmist understood that his revival would occur when the Messiah of God came into the world to redeem humanity. Before understanding this work, the psalmist lived in anguish. Many people also live in despair because they do not understand what will happen to them when life on Earth ends. Our mission is to tell everyone that Jesus has given us new life!

The task to be accomplished by us is sublime: to inform that no one needs to live in distress, for, as Jesus stated, the Truth sets free those who know it (John 8:32). Some become enraged when we talk to them about what Christ has achieved for the man who surrenders to Him. This happens because nothing that enlightens someone's life pleases the devil; after all, he does not want people to be saved.

Patiently, we can give some "drops" of Truth to those who become enraged when they hear about the Savior. Gradually, they will understand that everything that comes from God is good and does tremendous good. The enemy of our happiness wishes that we do not speak of divine love and strives to make us do his will. However, nothing will stop us from announcing the Good News to the lost. The Truth prevails!

If Christians read the Bible more, they would have solid arguments to help those who know nothing about the tremendous work accomplished by Jesus on the cross. When He died, He descended into Hell and stripped Satan of the power he had stolen from man (Ephesians 4:9,10). The adversary even fought to hold onto what he had stolen from Adam, our first father, because, in doing so, he could oppress us. However, the Savior defeated him, fulfilling the mission for us to walk with God again.

When Christ was nailed to the cross in our place, everything people did wrong was placed upon Him (Isaiah 53:4-6). He became sin for us by taking our sins upon Himself. So, upon seeing His Son in that condition, at that moment the Father separated Himself from Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). Therefore, Jesus cried out, asking why God had forsaken Him (Mark 15:34). The Father destroyed sin, for it is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12.29).

Jesus experienced spiritual death, the separation from God. Seeing that everything was laid upon Him, Christ shouted: “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. (John 19.30). Then, He stripped Satan and the demons of the authority they had taken from Adam (Colossians 2:15). When the Savior completed His work, the Holy Spirit quickened Him (Romans 8:11). We were made alive together with Him (Ephesians 2:5,6). Hallelujah!

Upon understanding that this would be done by humanity, the psalmist was consoled with the certainty that he would die believing in the fact that, when the Messiah came and did the work, he would be made alive. Spiritually, we died in Adam, but we were made alive in Christ (1 Corinthians 15:22). This can happen to you now. Believe and have this experience!
