But Barak pursued the chariots and the army as far as Harosheth Hagoyim, and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; not a man was left
Judges 4.16
The valley of Megiddo—also known as the valley of Armageddon, where the third or final world war is believed to take place—was the scene of a memorable battle, which, from the Canaanites' perspective, would serve to defeat Barak's ten thousand soldiers. However, what was seen there were more than 900,000 Canaanite soldiers killed and buried in the mud that torrential rains brought to annihilate the Canaanite army. Millions of lost souls will also march to the lake of fire!
People live recklessly, possessed by the spirit of sensuality, promiscuity, and other sins worse than or equal to these, when they should be seeking the face of God and preparing to live eternally in Heaven and on the new earth that will be created for those who love Jesus and have abandoned sin. One day, however, those who resisted the regeneration provided by the Lord at Calvary will suffer forever. They will despair when they see that the Door has closed!
This is not a matter of religion, for it came from the mouth of Jesus of Nazareth. Whoever is not born again now will never see the Kingdom of God nor dwell in it. The Bible declares: But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. (Revelation 22.15). Christ does not need to do anything else to save the lost, because He purchased salvation and offers it to anyone who wants it. Do you want to live well?
Those who put off the decision to accept the Savior will find that later has become too late, and then, even if they cry, scream, and beg, they will not be heard. The time is now. Your part is to tell Jesus that you accept His offer. Now, whoever does not accept it rejects it. We are not talking about rejecting someone like us, but the Lord, the Creator of all things. You see, everything we do in this life we do in Him; so when you say, “I'll think about it” or “I don't want to,” you say that in Him!
In the days of the judges, the roads were precarious, and people traveled on foot or on the backs of animals. Life was limited and nothing like what we see today, when we pick up our cell phones and talk to people anywhere on the planet. Therefore, enchanted by this world, many of them do not imagine what they will lose if they are not saved. The kingdom of Earth will never come close to the perfect Kingdom of God. Wake up!
The Canaanite warriors died because they lived only to harass Israel, God's private property (Malachi 3:17). The army of the mighty Sisera fell by the sword. So will those who choose to be part of the kingdom of the lost, despising the salvation that cost Christ His life, so that people would turn to the One who created them, changing their eternal destiny (Isaiah 53:4-6).
A great lesson was taught to us that day! While the Canaanites had the best conditions, and their soldiers were prepared to fight and win, the Israelites were simple people who did not even have a good horse for their commander to ride. They went down on foot to meet the enemy in the valley of Armageddon, and nature, in obedience to the Creator, helped them to victory. Believe in God and live in accordance with His Word!
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
God of victory! When Barak descended the mountain, from a human perspective, his defeat was certain. The enemy was equipped with the best weapons and had military training to defeat Your people in battle, but You went first!
Man is easily led to continue living badly and even dishonestly. However, when he encounters Jesus, everything changes, for he becomes a new creation and begins to offer You the best, so that You can use him as You wish!
The group of Israelite soldiers was small and unprepared for that battle, but they had dignity. They fought bravely, leaving us a good example. Our struggle may be arduous, but victory is certain. Those who love You offer to save sinners and bring them to Your Kingdom!
