For My name’s sake I will defer My anger, and for My praise I will restrain it from you, so that I do not cut you off.
Isaiah 48.9
The Lord warned the Israelites that their guilt was very great and that He would only spare them the punishment they deserved for the sake of His Name. He had promised the patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that He would bless them and extend that blessing to their descendants. The fathers of the Hebrews acted correctly, following the guidance of Heaven; however, most of their descendants did not honor the commitment made by their fathers and did wrong.
Today, God separates us to be part of His people and live with Him forever. Therefore, the blessing is passed on to those who have been saved through us and our families. However, over time, many become involved with the temptations brought by the angels of evil and stray from the Truth. Those who have left the path of Heaven are not happy here on Earth, and if they do not return to God, they will be forbidden from entering the heavenly Kingdom. Be aware!
Because of His love for His Name—the authority we use to do the work—the Lord has made us seek more lost sheep. He sees our struggle to lead them to salvation. There are cases where it seems impossible to lead them to conversion and sanctification, but God's mercy has caused the Savior to act so that their names would not be blotted out of the book of life. For the sake of His Name, God delays His wrath. Pray!
The Lord has foreknowledge. He knows that many stray because of the evil desires in their hearts. Without being aware of the danger they are in, they advertise their way of life before conversion to Christ and say that now, far from the Lord's way, they are truly happy. How can they do this to the One who created them, redeemed them, and has warned them about the end of the wicked in the lake of fire and brimstone? Watch out so you don't get lost!
When the Lord's time and patience run out, and God says He will do nothing for those who lie in sin or create situations that are unpleasant for peaceful communion among peoples, He will no longer delay His wrath. Then, those who are indebted to their neighbors will see how painful it is to live in disagreement with Heaven's guidance. God's love for His Name causes Him to act strongly, so that Christians may proceed according to His Word.
God restrains Himself in relation to man until He sees him disregard His warnings; then He makes the correct decision to protect the innocent, who would suffer abuse from people who claim to be saved. The Most High affirms that He will cut off those who act against the happiness of His children. Never trust your intuition, for it does not guide the decisions of the Almighty. Live in the fear of the Lord continually (Proverbs 9:10)!
The northern kingdom, composed of the ten tribes that separated from the house of David, exceeded the limits of God's patience. However, the time came for the Lord to take action. He had no alternative: He allowed Assyria to invade the northern kingdom and take the best of the nation captive. The same thing happened to Judah, which did as Samaria did and became a slave to Nebuchadnezzar for 70 years.
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
Patient God, but not slow! For the sake of Your Name, You warned those of the Northern kingdom that Your wrath would no longer be delayed. It fell upon Samaria, which saw that the Assyrian king's heart was harder than stone!
You also said that, for the sake of Your praise, You were restrained from rebuking the inhabitants of Judah. But, incredible as it may seem, they did not take advantage of the time You gave them to avoid handing them over to the enemy. Thus, the Babylonians destroyed them!
Lord, have mercy on Your Church, bought by the blood of Jesus, our Exemplar. You have seen Your children stray into the transgressions committed by those who do not know You. Forgive them, Father!
