The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness.
Proverbs 15.14
There is much to be said about the heart of the wise, for even the Creator takes pleasure in those who receive wisdom and make use of it: My son, if your heart is wise, my heart will rejoice—indeed, I myself; (Proverbs 23.15). Having heard this from the Lord, why not ask for a wise heart? There's nothing better than knowing that the Most High will be pleased that we have made room for this virtue in our lives. It's good to know that God is happy with us (Nehemiah 8:10).
When a man's heart becomes wise, he seeks to obtain knowledge; then any problem can be solved. The prophet Hosea understood that he needed to know why God's people were being destroyed. So he asked about it, and the answer came straight away: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4.6a). It is clear from the Lord's statement that people's lack of knowledge favors the devil.
God spoke about the workers of iniquity, who live for the misfortune of others and do not call on Him: Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call on the Lord? (Psalm 14.4). The worst attitude is to live deprived of the knowledge of the Truth, which is sufficient for one to be delivered from any evil. The wicked will suffer the destruction of their souls!
The children of Israel spent 40 years in the “school” of the desert, but even though they were fully sustained in that uninhabitable place, where nothing could be planted or harvested, they failed to bring joy to God. The Lord expected them to seek Him for this: For forty years I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘It is a people who go astray in their hearts, and they do not know My ways.’ (Psalm 95.10). Many people have been in God's house for a long time, but without knowledge!
Those who don't get even one divine blessing need to examine themselves to identify the reasons why they haven't learned from God how to receive the three gifts that His mouth is pleased to offer to those who love Him: For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; (Proverbs 2.6). He gives wisdom to all, and from His lips come knowledge and understanding. We must grow before God!
Man's priorities are far removed from those needed to acquire wealth, goods and other things that the Lord has for everyone. It all begins when the Christian accepts Heaven's correction, because his goals change completely, as the Word affirms: Receive my instruction, and not silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold; (Proverbs 8.10). Under the Father's gaze, guiding our steps and blessing our path, we will prosper!
Talking to wise people means getting free lessons that will lead us to better days. Therefore, it is necessary to choose with whom we spend our time, talking and learning. The person who wants to be successful will certainly do this, because the Bible says: The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, but the heart of the foll does not do so. (Proverbs 15.7).

Today's Prayer
God, Giver of knowledge! Those who listened to Solomon, in the days when he used the wisdom You gave him, received an outpouring of knowledge from his lips. Today, those who read the Bible see that You are the Wise One who pours out grace on those who listen to You.
There are those who wish to possess riches, but the best of them is to listen to the lips that provide knowledge, because they pour out more than precious jewels are worth. We must give You the place of Master and sit at Your feet. In this way, we will learn from You.
We live in a world of profiteers who don't care about the suffering of others. If a Christian learns the wisdom of man, he will be just like anyone else, but if he has Your understanding, he will be clothed with power!
