Everything has its right time. Even the days of Jesus on Earth, so that He could perform wonders, came to an end. So, after completing the work of salvation, Christ ascended to Heaven, as the Word records: What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before?  (John 6.62). As it was said, it happened. So it will be with every declaration of the Lord directed at you. Take possession of it, for it is your fortune and blessing!

The two angels presented themselves to the disciples who kept their eyes fixed on the Heavens, expecting to see what the Lord will only show when He returns to take the saved to the eternal dwelling of the Father. Well, it is necessary to abandon certain attitudes, such as trying to be smarter than the brothers or looking for signs of Christ's return in the sky. Those who act this way will spend their lives doing nothing good for themselves and for others. Trust Him!

Trusting in God is trusting in His Word, for this is the method that guides us on the path of faith, as it is written in Hebrews: God, who ^[a]at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,   has in these last days spoken to us by His Son,  (Hebrews 1.1-2a). The Son is the Word that was used to do everything the Father said: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1.1).

As an example of what the Word did at the beginning, we have the Lord saying: Let there be Light (Genesis 1:3) Did it appear by chance? No! Jesus, in His eternal form as the Word of God, brought it into existence. Well, light is something phenomenal, as it travels 293 thousand kilometers per second. To illustrate: the distance between Brazil and New York in a straight line is about eight thousand kilometers. If New York were 37 times farther away, light would take a second to get there.

Now, imagine the endless capacity of Jesus, the Word! There was no light, but He created it because the Father spoke. How much will the Son do for you if God affirms that you should be a blessing? After all, by faith, you have become a child of Abraham, to whom the Most High promised: I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. (Genesis 12.2). Do not accept anything less than being a blessing, for you are a child of the Blesser!

We do not have to keep looking to Heaven waiting for blessings, but just believe in Him to obtain everything we need. The angels said: This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” (Acts 1.11b). Nothing will prevent you from being who the Lord envisioned. Therefore, serve God with His joy, for it is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). The weak must say they are strong (Joel 3:10)!

Everything has already been decided regarding the second coming of Christ. It will happen as it has been said to those who wish to believe in Him. Only the Father knows when this will happen: “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.  (Mark 13.32).
