This verse reveals that the practice of making prayers and supplications has existed on Earth for a long time. Through it, many people have been helped. However, many have lost sight of this habit and, as a result, experience great suffer. There are occasions when someone's conversion only occurs through prayers and supplications before God. Without consecration, the saved will yield to temptation and take actions that will shame them. It is good to remember that Jesus was tempted in everything, but did not sin (Hebrews 4:15).

The conversion of many will only occur when they hear the message of the cross through evangelization. Without salvation, they will inevitably fall into the subtle snares of the devil. Satan will take advantage and send insinuations, appealing to the person's rational side. An example of this is when, in marriage, one of the spouses is unfaithful, and the enemy influences the betrayed to commit the same act. Whoever is born again will never follow the devil, because they are part of the Body of Christ. The good testimony is appreciated by the Kingdom of light, but the bad one, by that of darkness!

In the upper room, there were gathered people who wanted to please Jesus. They prayed and pled before God. These two actions would lead them to live in a holy manner. Now, if they did not open their hearts to the Lord, they could not be purified and, consequently, their conduct would not be blameless. Everyone is subject to temptation, but they cannot harbor the evil suggestion in their hearts; otherwise, they will fall into sin!

Have you come to the conclusion that, by yielding to temptation, you will never ascend with Jesus at His return? Never play with your salvation, for the Word declares: A little leaven leavens the whole lump. (Galatians 5.9). Aren't you interested in knowing whether you will spend eternity in Heaven or Hell? Has the devil already convinced you that the lake of fire is just a joke from God?

One of the temptations is passion, a partisan feeling that prevails over reason and morality. It can exert violent or subversive action, commanded by an uncompromising spirit. Whoever is guided by it is convinced that it is good and does everything to show that it is right. Only the Lord is good and right in what He says or does. He warns us: Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God.  (Leviticus 20.7). Start sanctifying yourself!

God wants our good, but the evil one wants our harm. Therefore, decide to change your behavior. Isaiah speaks of the righteousness of the best man: But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are

like filthy rags; we all fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. (Isaiah 64.6). Do not justify yourself, but sanctify yourself in Jesus, for He is our justification (1 Corinthians 1:30).

The Son of God will take us out of this world, which will burn completely, and will go before us. Those who want to follow the Master must do what the Word says: Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.  (Luke 9.23). Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: (Hebrews 12.14).
