And be renewed in the spirit of your mind

Ephesians 4.23

It is up to each follower of Jesus to renew their love for Him, in order to always do His will. The Holy Spirit inspired Paul to speak about this blessing that frees our being. He said that the flesh fights against the Spirit: For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish (Galatians 5.17). Watch and pray!

Having no regard for any heavenly guidance is to consciously err, and the Word of God speaks to this effect: for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1.21). Now, every time a person understands the biblical message as being directed to them, they must take up that commandment, for therein lies the blessing!

The testimony given by God in His Word is one of the ways He uses to bring a person's life into line with His plan. Therefore, no one can say that they do not know the Truth, or what the divine will is, because even the reaction that arose in their heart at the moment of revelation testifies to that person's intention not to accept it. Let us be responsible so that we will not be ashamed on the last Day!

Here is one of Heaven's express commands: never conform to the world that lies in evil, as the God of Heaven and Earth instructs: And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12.2). Obey the Lord and you will see the fulfillment of the promises made to you. Believe, pray, and live!

Without the renewal of your understanding, you become stagnant and blame everything and everyone for your situation, including the Lord, thinking that He did not show you the good things that would make you someone different. If you go back in time, you may remember the times when God spoke to you through the Word, but since you lived in the flesh and liked to do only your own will, you ignored the Lord. He still loves you!

Hear the testimony of someone who paid attention to the Word and achieved success, becoming the image and likeness of the Lord. Remember that Adam's sin transformed us into defeated people, but the work of Jesus lifted us up: Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, (Titus 3.5). Amen!

Christ has already paid the price for you to be successful in this life and, after death, to achieve success in eternity, the fruit of God's mercy and, consequently, to live in Glory with Him. Answer honestly: is it worth being dishonest and living off what is not yours, or desiring someone else when you already have your other half? Why practice sin when Jesus died to give you life in abundance (John 10:10b)? Turn to God now!

In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer

Merciful and compassionate Father! We are delighted by Your way of being. You love the lost so much that You insist they abandon their evil ways and turn to You, to obtain victory and, after death, enjoy eternal life with You!

We are grateful that You are the God of love, who inspires us to also love and do Your will day after day. Forgive us for not living in a holy way as You are, because sin separates us from You, something that should never happen. Help us!

We desire to be transformed by Your Word and thus experience Your goodness and Your love. Sustain us with Your right hand, as You have promised You would for us. We thank You for the forgiveness and anointing You have granted us anew!
