Then you shall say to your son: ‘We were slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt, and the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

Deuteronomy 6.21

For any explanation your children ask you about the origin of the family in the Gospel, accurately recount the facts that awakened you to surrender to the Lord and achieve the deliverance that changed your home. By describing what you experienced before accepting Jesus, using true examples, you will instill in them the same kind of faith you practice. Never invent anything that could prevent God's action in their lives.

Reporting what you and your family suffered before knowing Jesus, the Truth, will help them understand the difference between the Lord and other religions. Clarify that Christians are not religious people who follow rules created by man, but rather believe in the Gospel and live according to the Scriptures. Take the opportunity to teach them that every revealed word is a commandment from Heaven for those who receive it.

The fact that you were once a slave to the forces of darkness will impress upon them never to desire to eat or drink of sin, because the price will be to be under the dominion of the evil kingdom. Show them that with Jesus, we have the way open to reach the tabernacle of the Lord in Heaven (Philippians. 3:20). We were made kings and priests by Jesus for God and His Father (Revelation 5:10). He expects us to reign here in His Name!

It is helpful to remember: He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, (Colossians 1.13). From then on, we must refuse the enemy's tricks and live out the Lord's purpose for us. Those who understand their mission in the eternal Kingdom of Goodness receive the blessings that already belonged to them, but because they were unaware of them, they did not claim them.

It is good to detail what will happen to us when we attain salvation: we will live with God forever, free from all the evil of Hell. Now, those who reject the divine offer will go to eternal suffering and will no longer have a chance to be rescued. The saved will never be denied the right to live in the Home where the heroes of faith will be. Believe, pray, and watch!

Emphasize that we have been taken out of darkness by the strong hand of the Lord, who will never abandon us or leave us in sin or suffering. We owe gratitude to the Most High for such a work. The saved will never see death, but will pass from this life through the Lord to Glory: Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.” (John 8.51). Are you already saved? Accept Jesus now!

Finally, mention all the good things that have happened to your family since they gave their lives to Jesus and compare them with what happens to those who have not yet met Him and live in suffering. When children understand what they must do to achieve redemption, they will soon make the decision to follow the Savior. Seek to win your loved ones for Christ, and you will see that, above all, salvation has come to them. God's gifts are irrevocable!

Today's Prayer

Lord of the irreversible Word! How good it is to know that our children will respond to Your call and be saved! Give us the conditions to lead them all to Christ, so that they may be redeemed and successful in everything they do in this life and, in eternal life, be with You, enjoying the blessings of Your Home!

Father, we will instruct our children, Your blessed inheritance, about what we heard from Your lips, when You confirmed Your promises and declarations in our hearts. We will also announce the Truth to the lost of the world!

Pharaoh lost the Hebrews forever, symbolizing the defeat inflicted by Jesus on Satan, which will never be reversed. Everything You do, teach and demonstrate regarding us will never be annulled. Thank You for the eternal salvation that we have achieved in Christ. You are our beloved Father!
