Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
Psalm 29.2
In the previous verse, the Word says that the sons of the mighty should give glory and strength to the Lord. In this one, King David, used by God to pass on the revelation, says that we must give the glory due to the Name of the Lord. Certainly, this doesn't mean making empty declarations of power, speaking for the sake of speaking or uttering flattering words to satisfy someone. It has to do with determining in the Name of Jesus with the strength and faith necessary to do the work well!
We must always examine how we speak and live, so as not to fail. Every time we are attacked by evil, we have the opportunity to show who lives in us: the Lord or the devil. The best thing is to have God as the Lord of our life, that is, of our choices and decisions. No more giving the enemy room to suggest something or direct our lives.
I see in young David's response to the giant Goliath, when the latter cursed him for his gods, a demonstration of what it means to give the glory due to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:42,43). That Philistine was foolish to curse God's servant and made the big mistake that ended up giving victory to Jesse's son (Genesis 12:3; 1 Samuel 17:50). Goliath defied the Lord of Hosts, and this attitude angered the Almighty. And so, the giant was delivered into the hands of the young David, who carried out his threat to the enemy with satisfaction. May God also deliver your tormentors into your hands!
The response of God's servant was clear: You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied (1 Samuel 17.45). Whoever has the Guard of Israel (today, the Guard of the Church) at their side will never lose a battle. The Most High is faithful at all times. He cares for us more than our parents did when we were babies!
When tempted, we must give the glory due to the Name of the Savior. In this way, the Lord's care will be proven in times of tribulation. Let's not abandon or waste this absolute power, for Jesus leads us in triumph and glory (1 Corinthians 15:57). Why not go into battle with victory assured, if this is a promise from Heaven? No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling (Psalm 91.10).
We have to worship God in the beauty of His holiness, and this will happen when, within us, there are pure desires in both business and personal matters, such as friendships and marriage. Stay alert! Never let the opportunities that the Most High has given you to show yourself pure pass you by. Be firm in your decisions. For what is yes, say yes; but for what is no, answer no!
Whoever gives due glory to the Name of the Lord and worships Him, will come to know Him as He is known. He is the Creator and Sustainer of everything. Draw near to God and count on God's hand being stretched out to you, enveloping you at all times. Decide to glorify the Holy Name. With Christ, you will win!
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
God of Name and holiness! We should fear nothing, for we have Your help. You involve us, inspire us and fight for us. It is good to participate in Your work continually, for it leads us to victory and freedom. Thank You for loving us!
With Your guidance, we will give Your Name the glory and You will work in and for us. We are Your adopted children and we love You with all our hearts, so grant us the power to do the work as You wish, so that You may be magnified!
Even if we are weak on our own, in You we will have the strength that will make us Your true warriors. We love You and glorify You, so that the power of Your Name may magnify You. Father, help us to serve You!
