You who dwell in the gardens, The companions listen for your voice— Let me hear it!
Song of Solomon 8:13
In the Song of Solomon, the Shulammite symbolizes the Church of Christ, the beloved Bride of the Lord Jesus. The Bridegroom dwells in the gardens of the palace of the Most High, under the shadow of the Almighty. This biblical book was written in poetic form to show what the relationship of a couple who loves and respects the Most High should be like. Therefore, it must be studied diligently, so that we may know what must be done for the marital union to be perfect and pleasing to God.
Each congregation of the Lord across the face of the Earth is a garden where we find what is essential to strengthen us, sweeten our palate, and give us the precious manna, which is indispensable for the battles of life we must fight. Without food from Heaven, we will not go very far. We do not have to live shouting into the wind to find Him, for we also live in this garden, planted by God and full of good food.
For our King to listen to us, we must call upon His Name with all our heart. We need not only to be heard but also to be answered by Him. The Most High likes to hear our voice: “O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret places of the cliff, Let me see your face, Let me hear your voice; For your voice is sweet, And your face is lovely.” (Song of Solomon 2:14). What a great encouragement for us to pray to Him, isn't it?
Israel had the Lord as the Rock in whose clefts we can walk. Firmly established in Him, we will find the resources we need. The clefts are only shown to those who are determined to find Jesus, the main part of the Covenant. Through Him, the lost are saved, the sick are healed, and prosperity comes. We just need to seek Him day and night until we find Him and are satisfied!
When we speak with Christ and listen to His voice, because of our communion with Him, everyone sees that we are intimate with God and blessed by Him. The world must see that Jesus is the Solution to problems and that, with Him, everyone is successful and free from the suffering caused by Adam's fall. We are completely delivered when we accept the work of the Savior on the cross and surrender ourselves to Him.
Like the Shulammite, the Church wants to hear the voice of her beloved Bridegroom, which brings her peace and security. People's problems end when they receive Jesus as Savior and Lord. In the Rock that followed Israel, there was abundant water to quench everyone's thirst (1 Corinthians 10:1-4). He allowed Himself to be struck once. After that, when the people of God were thirsty, they only had to speak to Him so that water would gush forth from Him (Exodus 17:6; Numbers 20:7-8). Do it!
If God wants to hear our voice, and we want to hear His sweet voice, why not unite with the Lord right away? Thus, we will be able to enjoy communion with the Father, who says: “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3). It all depends on us!
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
Lord, Dweller in the gardens! You have dwelt in the hearts of those who love You and desire to know You more. Nothing can justify us except what comes from Your holy and powerful mouth. We thank You for Your attention!
Just as You long to hear us, we also want to hear Your sweet voice. We will succeed if You are by our side. Father, what do You desire us to do to please You and have a full life?
We want to pay attention to the movement of Your lips when You speak to us. Even though we do not know or understand many things, we love You and desire the world to know You as Savior, Lord, and Provider!
