THE GREATEST REASON FOR OUR JOY

Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

Luke 10.20

How wonderful it is to be used by God to help someone out of suffering and give them direction in life! Not knowing what to do, many give themselves over to sinful practices that will prevent them from ascending with Jesus when He returns to gather His Church. Iniquity will exclude them from the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). The momentary joy and pleasure provided by sin are not worth the eternal damage they will suffer.

To warn someone who commits adultery, prostitutes themselves, lies, is dishonest, and commits other transgressions, one must have wisdom from Above. In general, they do not know the Lord or His Word and think that Christians are foolish for not enjoying the pleasures of sin (Hebrews 11:25). But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. (2 Corinthians 4.3,4). Ask God for wisdom!

When we accepted Jesus as Savior, we were forgiven of our sins. This became a cause of great joy because we began to feel God's presence. Before being born again, we were unfit for eternal life with Christ. However, the Most High used people to plant the divine seed in us, and our lives were transformed. Now, some took months to decide for Christ.

After conversion, we understood the Word and began to change our conduct. Therefore, we need wisdom from High so that we do not hinder those who are at the beginning of their walk with God, nor warn them about any deviation. The saved must persevere in faith until the end: And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved (Mark 13.13).

The text quoted above confirms the possibility of someone not being saved; it is enough not to persevere to the end. The word spoken by Jesus would be enough to confirm this. There is also the example of the Israelites freed from captivity in Egypt, who sinned and died in the desert, without ever entering Canaan, which typifies the heavenly Jerusalem, inherited by the saved (Revelation 21:2,3). The devil will try to lead us astray, so that we join the group of the lost, wanting us to fall on the Way to Heaven.

Now, if our name is written in Heaven, we should rejoice and obey the Lord so that we may be victorious. In God, there is no ill will to lead us in triumph to Paradise. But if we do not watch, someone will seek to take us from our position. Watch and pray is the watchword (Matthew 26:41). Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown (Revelation 3.11).

If the unclean spirits that cause evil obey us, nothing can prevent us from living free from any kind of temptation and problems, for Jesus will allow us to enjoy what we have in Him, in whom are all kinds of blessings (Ephesians 1:3). Say that, from now on, you will take your position in Christ. He is faithful and just (1 John 1:9).

In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer

God, Friend and Protector! We thank You for delivering us from all evil. May Your eyes never cease to watch over and guard us, so that we and our loved ones may finish our Christian career without losing faith! We are Yours through Christ Jesus!

Teach us to rejoice in You; thus, we will fulfill Your commandments as Your beloved children. We accept no lies from the enemy, for we want to live within the limits established by Your Law and be guided by Your wisdom. Your love compels us to do good!

You chose us in Your Son to be holy and blameless. We give You praise and glory for all that You have done and will do on our behalf. Our names are registered in Heaven, where, one day, we will dwell with You in Your Kingdom!
