THE REASON FOR THE DECISION

This has become mine, because I kept Your precepts

Psalm 119.56

The sins and defeats of humanity would end if people kept the commandments of God revealed in the Scriptures. This is one of the reasons we preach the Gospel. There is no way to fail to do what is right and then blame the people for acting wrongly: How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? (Romans 10.14).

Teaching someone to love the Lord – to have and fulfill the commandments – will do good for you and everyone, for by teaching the Truth, we remove the criminal potential from the midst of innocent people. Those who love Jesus are also loved by Him and by His Father (John 14:21). There would be good times if this were fulfilled by those who call themselves Christians, resembling Christ. Shall we be like the Master?

Whoever wrote Psalm 119 revealed that they kept the Lord's commandments and managed to free themselves from the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21) and the yoke of the devil, who came to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10a). By doing this, the psalmist began to live without any guilt before the Most-High. Whoever does the same will become a blessing to others. Let's be happy; after all, blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance. (Psalm 33.12). Amen!

We have heard the accounts of people who took pleasure in crime, but upon surrendering to Jesus and being taught how to please God, they ceased to be servants of the devil and began to serve the Lord. Salvation in Christ is the Good News that changes anyone who learns the Truth. The people need biblical doctrine to attain the best of the Most-High. Be strong!

Any congregation is a reflection of its pastor. If many still live in sin within it, the responsibility may lie with the one who shepherds. Well, the Lord loved us first, so that we would love Him, and He left us to take care of His house, so that we would take care of His flock (John 21:15-17; 1 John 4:19), leading them to believe in His promises, to live in an irreproachable manner, in holiness, fearing Him. Thus, we show the purpose of our life: to do good. Watch, pray, and believe!

Examine the reason why the people of God live in suffering, revealed to the prophet Hosea by the Lord: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. (Hosea 4.6). Take care while there is still time! God loves you!

If you do not know, take note now: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. (2 Corinthians 5.10). Jesus said: Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops. (Luke 12.3). Make peace with the Lord now!

Today's Prayer

God of holiness! We cannot appear before You without Your work being perfected in us. We were born into sin and live among people who do not hesitate to try to bring even the saintliest people to their downfall. Help those who pray now!

I know the amen has been said by many now. But, among them, there are weak ones, who still do not fear You as they should and, therefore, sin and return to the devil's quagmire, despite having been purified by the blood of Jesus. Show them Your compassion!

We want to respect and love You, having Your commandments and fulfilling them. Never allow a single one of us to fall into the hands of the evil one, by sinning in thoughts, words and actions. Their prayers go up to You at this time. Answer them by Your love and Your mercy!
