Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey.
Acts 1.12
The disciples of Jesus and some people who followed Him had the privilege of seeing Him give His final instructions before being taken up to Heaven to sit at the right side of God the Father, where He remains to this day. To Him was given all power in Heaven and on Earth, for from that moment on, He would be the person of the Holy Trinity responsible for the Universe. Christ proved that He was obedient until His death on the cross. He conquered all things!
Those who saw Him ascend to Heaven were amazed. After hearing the Savior's recommendations, the apostles returned to Jerusalem. It was the beginning of the New Covenant ministry, when they would have to go on alone, fulfilling the mission entrusted to them by the Messiah. Problems would arise, but with the teachings of the Master, the followers of Christ would be successful.
The disciples were not far from the city of Jerusalem, as they went to the Mount of Olives to witness Christ's ascension to the Kingdom of God. However, before that, they needed to receive the final instructions to complete the work. Therefore, nothing could prevent the Truth from being known by all. Thus, the lost could be freed by understanding how to act. The Father planned everything in its smallest details.
The distance from the foot of the Mount of Olives to Jerusalem was about 800 meters, or the distance a Jew was allowed to walk on the Sabbath. The apostles could hardly believe what they saw. Jesus was taken up to Heaven and enveloped by a cloud that separated those servants from Him who was entering the Kingdom of God to prepare a place for us. When everything is ready, the Father will tell the Son to return to Earth, and those who have died in Christ will follow Him first.
On that day, the living will wait for all the dead in Christ to rise and follow the Lord, then it will be their turn to accompany Him. What a beautiful moment it will be for those who wait to see the wonders of His return. The Son of God will come with a war cry, and the people who did not believe in the work He did for humanity will cry out for mercy, but they will not be heard, for they refused to believe when the Holy Spirit used us to speak to them.
Imagine the despair of parents, seeing their children being sent to the lake of fire and brimstone because they did not follow their advice! Failing to believe that Jesus paid a high price to save us is the worst sin. There will be no opportunity for those who remain in this state. Those who surrender to Christ will hear Him say: ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world (Matthew 25.34).
Examine your heart and see if you are prepared for the return of Jesus. After His coming, no one will be saved. Whoever has not received Him as Savior and Lord will not be heard on that Day and will undoubtedly cry out for mercy. Make peace with Him now, or you will not be a dweller in the dwelling prepared by the Creator of Heaven and Earth!
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
Faithful God! We rejoice to know that Your people await the return of Jesus. Meanwhile, we will continue to pray for the lost. If they do not repent in time, they will not share in eternal happiness!
Being saved by the work done by Christ is of fundamental importance, for it gives us hope and certainty that we will live in Your Kingdom of peace and fulfillment, alongside Christ, the King of kings. While we are in the world, we want to do Your will.
What would have become of us if Your Son had not come to save us, shedding even the last drop of blood? Humanity was lost because of Adam's sin. Help us to serve You without limits; after all, our salvation cost a high price. We love You, Father!
