WHAT ARE THESE THINGS?

They are created now and not from the beginning; and before this day you have not heard them, lest you should say, ‘Of course I knew them.’
Isaiah 48.7
The ordinances in the New Testament are different from anything that existed before Jesus came, so we must study and observe them. When we read Paul's letters, we understand his teachings about the laws and promises fulfilled in Christ. In the perfect law of liberty (Galatians 5:5), there is more for us than we need; therefore, we need to know the Gospel, for it is God's perfect will for man.
Isaiah left countless revelations about Christ (Isaiah 9; 11; 50; 53), and Jesus taught the way in which we must walk in order to have the abundant life He promised to give us. After His departure, His disciples began to preach the Gospel. Therefore, we must devote ourselves to reading the New Testament; in this way, we will live in the light of the Truth shown by the Savior. Now, if we continue to act like the people who lived before Jesus, what change will He have brought us?
What did Christ come to give us? Abundant life. Understanding this will allow us to experience the necessary change, which will enable us to do the work entrusted to us by the Master (John 13:15). The prophet Isaiah was clear in emphasizing that these things were being created (Isaiah 47:8), that is, they did not exist before Christ came into the world. They are superior to everything related to the Old Covenant (Hebrews 1).
As we meditate on the revelations that grace and Truth bring us, we will know how to be a holy people, zealous for good works: surrendering ourselves to Jesus, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. (Titus 2.14). Christ, the righteousness of God (Jeremiah 23:6), gave Himself to suffer our transgressions and redeem us from all lawlessness. Today, this message is rarely preached, which is why many still live in sin. What a pity!
The New Covenant was not understood before Jesus because, without Him, no one had the ability to understand God's purpose. Even though they offered sacrifices to God, people remained under the dominion of sin. However, a new time came when they would not only be forgiven for their sins, but also purified from the iniquities and injustices that dominated even the heart of the high priest, who made offerings for the sins of the people and his own (Hebrews 9:7). The New Covenant has sanctified us!
Isaiah said that no one knew such truths before. This leads us to understand that the work accomplished on the cross is so perfect and pure in its greatness that only those who are born again can comprehend its meaning (1 Corinthians 2:15). God's plan to bring Jesus into the world included what was announced to us in His Word and what will still be shown to us and is already in the Scriptures. Therefore, we must share this with those who are sanctified in Christ.
There are mysteries that we will never understand, for they belong only to our God, but every revelation is given to us so that we may make good use of it (Deuteronomy 29:29). When we are in Heaven, we will know much more and see the Father (1 John 3:2). For now, there is nothing better than the salvation we have already received. We must love the Lord for this!
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
Savior God! We pray for our brothers and sisters who are beginning to know You through Jesus, that they may experience the reality of the New Covenant, in which the promises are fulfilled. We are not better than anyone else, but rather the change that made us who we are in You. This must occur in others as well.
Thank you for the revelation of Your Word that led us to encounter Christ and allowed us, through Him, to become Your beloved children. We ask that You protect us and deliver us from temptation and falling, for the enemy works to prevent us from persevering in following You.
We want to love You more; therefore, we need to know and keep Your commandments. With this, we will live at the highest level. Deliver us also from ourselves, from our inclination to sin. We desire to do all that pleases You and enjoy the abundant life!
